Yarn composition:  Merino Wool 80% Lincoln wool 20%

Worsted spun 3 fold yarn.

Weight: 100g skein

Needle Size: 2.75-3.25mm

Tension: 28sts x 36rows per 10cm

Meterage: 400m per 100g

Gentle Hand Wash required as this yarn is not machine wash treated.  

At a time when people want to get away from plastics (Nylon) and use natural products grown and made here in New Zealand, our blend of 20% Lincoln Strongwool with 80% of our soft Merino will fill the gap for 100% natural sock wool. With its high twist for extra strength this new yarn has been eagerly awaited!

The Lincoln sheep is one of the oldest known British longwool sheep breeds with a history going back hundreds of years. Lincoln sheep arrived in New Zealand in the 1840s. The wool they produce is long and strong with a beautiful lustre.
